Toyota’s Aygo loses blows its top as summer approaches

Toyota has released a soft-top version of its Aygo city car. Dubbed ‘x-wave’, the folding canvas electronic roof is only available with the range-topping five-door Aygo x-pression and costs £895.
The canvas roof retracts at a push of a button located in a roof-mounted control panel and extends as far back as the rear seats so as to offer the open-air expression to all four occupants. Unlike its Citroën and Peugeot cousins, the Toyota’s roof is only available in black.
In addition to the roof, the Aygo x-pression x-wave comes equipped with 15-inch alloy wheels, front fog lamps, projector headlights with LED daytime running lamps, the x-touch multimedia system containing DAB and Bluetooth connectivity, a reversing camera and air conditioning.
