History: Felix da Costa started his career in Karting at the tender age of nine, through the years of karting he evolved to become one of the next generation of young racing stars. In 2006 he won the Portuguese Junior championship with a perfect 10 out of 10 race winning streak, this highlighted him as a future contender in the racing world. After winning Portuguese Jr championship he then went on to the World series karting championship where he was runner-up. He also delved into the Italian open championship whereby the end of the season he finished in third place.

Felix da Costa was in the limelight in 2008 when he graduated to the single seat race season challenge when he won the Northern European championship in 2009. His experience didn't stop there, after the Northern European championship event, he went on to race in formula 3 and the World series by Renault.

In 2010 Felix da Costa had become the youngest ever Portuguese driver to test a Formula 1 car with the Force India team in Abu Dhabi where he shined and finished an impressive third overall.

Over the years Felix da Costa had really pushed himself and he had joined an elite run of winners like Aytron Senna and the world’s best driver Michael Schumacher when he won the formula 3 Macau Grand Prix.

In 2013 Felix unfortunately missed out on defending his previous title and crown at the Macau Grand Prix where he came second.

In the same year he become a reserve and test driver for the mighty infinity Red Bull racing team where he took part in the Silverstone young drivers test.

During 2014 Felix continued to test drive at infinity Red Bull and was also still a reserve driver at Red Bull he done this whilst competing in the DTN with the BMW works team. Also in 2014 it was a very special year for Felix da Costa as he joined the latest technologically advanced racing grand prix, as he was signed by the Amlin Aguri Formula E Team.

Salvador Duran Salvador Duran

History: Duran has enjoyed many achievements within his racing career he has raced on both sides of the Atlantic, and he has also won the prestigious Daytona 24 hours.

Duran started his career in Karting this career was very short as he progressed very fast, Duran then entered the Formula Dodge national series in 2003 where he achieved an amazing second place in the championship.

In 2004 he then went on to race in the formula Renault 2.0 cup and the Italian formula Renault 2.0 where he ended the season with three podium finishes and 115 points to his name.

Then came one of the biggest years of his life in 2005 he represented his home country Mexico in the World Cup of motorsport where he scored a double win at the US round Championship held at Laguna Seca, this is where he had three podium finishes. He then skipped over the Atlantic to enter the British Formula 3 series whereby in amazement he won the championship with nine wins and a staggering 300 points.

In 2006, it was a disappointing season as he didn't yield any victories. However things started to look up in 2007 he moved back to Formula Renault 3.5 whilst working alongside his commitments in the A1 GP. During this year Duran probably had the highlights of his career when he scored the most high-profile victory, when he won the Daytona 24 hours Juan Pablo Montoya.

The years of 2008 through to 2010 he continue to race in the formula Renault 3.5 series, and he had enjoyed victories and many challenges throughout this time even. He then decided to return home to race in the NASCAR Mexico series until 2012.

In 2014 things started to look up for Duran as he signed for the formula e team Amlin Aguri all we need do is wait to see what happens next.

Katherine Legge

History: Kathleen Legge is a British Motorsport racer, who became the first female driver to secure a poll in the British formula Ford Championship this was done during her debut in 2000.

Since her great performance in 2000 she soon progressed through the ranks of the junior single seater British formula Renault and then moved on to formula 3 in 2003. After Katherine had gained all this experience she crossed over the pond and competed in the Toyota Atlantic championship with Polestar Motor Racing where she ended up winning the series opener at Long Beach Miami. During this season she came third overall with five podium places and three wins. Also during this year she had become the first female formula 1 test driver since Sarah Fisher in 2002.

In 2006 Katherine signed to drive for PKV Racing in the Champ Car season, during this season she had rewritten history by becoming the first woman to lead a lap of this series. Unfortunately during this season Katherine had a high-speed crash, however that didn't stop her when she was fit and ready she signed for Dale Coyne Racing. In the following year once Katherine had got back into the hot seat during 2007 she then felt it was time to switch series and she moved over to the DTM series enjoying many seasons with Futurecom TME and ABT SportsLine teams.

Katherine decided to move stateside full time in 2012 when she made her IndyCar debut for Dragon Racing she was very competitive and had done very well in this her first season. Katherine remained there for her second season, during this time she also competed in the American Le Mans Series for the DeltaWing Racing Cars.

In 2014 Katherine had become the first woman driver to be named to race in the all new Formula E championship when she signed with the Amlin Aguri team.

With Katherine’s experience and drive to succeed we look forward to seeing what she can create on the formula E race circuits.

Takuma Sato

History: Takuma Sato started his racing career, racing bikes in Japan he quickly become the high school champion. In 1996 Takuma took up karting he was a born natural and by the following year he had won the Kanto Regional Championship. This was the year a star was born, during this year he entered the Suzka Racing School where he won a scholarship for the All-Japan Formula 3 Championship.

Takuma Sato had big ambitions so he then chose to up sticks and move to Europe to pursue his dream to be a Formula 1 driver. Once Takuma Sato had moved to Europe he set up home in the UK and then entered into the world renowned British formula 3 series where in an impressive fashion he won the series.

Once Takuma Sato had won the British Formula 3 series people looked up especially those in Formula One. In 2012 he signed with the BAR Honda team in Formula One where he had a steady career and he scored a podium finish in 2004 at the US Grand Prix. During his time in formula 1 his highest rankings was an impressive eighth in the championship.

In 2010 Takuma Sato had fulfilled his ambition to race in the Formula 1 series so he then upped sticks and moved to the USA and started to race in IndyCar, He had two Pole Positions and finished in the top 10,13 times in 49 starts whilst joining A.J Foyt Racing Team. He made his maiden victory at Long Beach, Miami and in that season he finished 17th overall.

Jean-Eric Vergne Jean-Eric Vergne:

History: Jean-Eric Vergne started his career as many others did in karting in France. He was the French junior champion in 2001 and he also became second in the European ICA championship in 2005.

In 2007 Jean-Eric Vergne had progressed to the formula Renault Championship title, he won this in his first attempt with six victories, he also won the French former Renault 2.0 In 2008 by taking four wins on his way.

In 2010 Jean-Eric Vergne went cross the North Sea to join the British formula 3 Championship whereby he won this world renowned series in 2010, he was the first French man to ever do so.

At the end of the 2010 season he was seen as one of the great up and coming drivers out there, Toro Rosso signed him up to do his test debut in Formula One.

In 2012 John Eric Berne made his formula one race debut in the Toro Rosso team scoring 16 points and coming 17th in the championship. The next year in 2013 he had improved his final standings and he came 15th in the championship scoring 13 points. In his final season in Formula 1 driving for the Toro Rosso team John Eric van scored 22 points and finished in an amazing sixth place.At the Sera Nepal Grand Prix in his last final season in Formula 1 he finished his career best in 13th.

In 2014 Jean-Eric Vergne signed for the Andretti Racing Formula E team. We will just have to wait and see how he now does in the newest and most exciting racing championship in the world known as Formula E.

Marco Andretti

History: Marco Andretti started his racing career in Karting at the age of 10 in Indianapolis, USA. He is the son of Michael Andretti and the grandson of Mario Andretti.

In 2006 Marco made a successful leap into the IndyCar series after completing three seasons in various junior formula and Firestone Indy lights. Also in 2006 he was competing at the highest level in the IndyCar series he managed to notch up two wins, four poll positions and yet the family driver had managed to earn more than 65 top-10 finishes.

In 2008 Marco became the youngest driver in the IndyCar series to take a poll position at the Milwaukee Race Circuit.

Since 2014 Marco had joined his families racing team in the Formula E series we look forward to seeing what this drivers made of……

Matthew Brabham

History: Matthew began this racing career at the age of seven competing in the Australian Midget class Karting series where he soon rose through the ranks to race in the single seaters.

Matthew comes from a racing pedigree as his grandfather is the racing legend Sir Jack Brabham whom is a three time world champion of Formula 1.

The former champion’s grandson competed in the Australian Formula Ford championship where he won one state race before winning another two races in the national series in the following season.

In 2012 Matthew crossed the Pacific Ocean and moved to the USA where he competed in the USF2000. Whilst in the USF2000 series Matthew had converted his racing skills to win four times which helped him become champion in his first season. Since Matthew had become an up and coming star he soon moved up the ladder to the Pro Mazda series with Andretti Autosport in 2013.

During 2013 and 2014 Matthew had made back to back titles in the Pro Mazda series with Andretti Autosport. In 2013 he won the series with 13 victories whilst breaking a record with seven wins in succession.

It looks 2014 onwards is going to be exciting for Matthew as he has become a reserve driver for Andretti Formula E Racing Team, with his known face pace around any track we would like to see what he can achieve.

History: Charles didn't start racing until quite late, however this didn't stop him rising faster than many others. After some success in karting Charles started driving in the single seater Formula Campus series in 2006 where he finished third.

In 2007 Charles soon progressed to the Renault 2.0 EuroCap series where he claimed one win and a great six podiums where he finished third in his first season.

In 2008 Charles again moved up the ranks when he started to race in the Formula Renault 3.5 with Tech 1 Racing. During this season Charles finished sixth whilst claiming two victories. Whilst this season went on, Charles went to part test sessions for a number of GP2 teams.

In 2009 Charles had managed to win in the Asia’s GP2 series whilst also finishing third in the Formula Renault 3.5.

When Charles had made his way through the ranks in the Motor Racing world, he started to test for the Formula One team Marussia. The Formula One team Marussia we're so impressed by him they promoted him to become a first team driver where he achieved a 21st. In 2013 the Marussia Formula One team changed to the Caterham F1 team where he finish the season in 20th place.

In 2014 the Lotus F1 team offered Charles to become the official test driver which he took with open arms. Also in this year Charles was offered to become a reserve driver for the family racing team, Andretti Formula E Team.

Lucas di Grassi Lusas di Grassi

History: Lusas di Grassi like most other racing drivers started off racing Kart’s, he started in 1994 and he had already won many championship races within the karting series.

It wasn’t until 2003 Lucas di Grassi made his racing car debut in the South American Formula 3 series where he finished second in his debut year.

In 2014 Lucas di Grassi swam the pond to go to the world renowned British Formula 3championship whereby he took two victories on his way to a eighth total position. In 2005 he fled yet again to the Formula 3 euros series where he finished third overall and claimed a famous victory in the Macau Street Race.

In 2006 Lusas di Grassi started his first of four seasons in the GP2 series where he racked up a number of wins and podiums whilst also acting as a third driver for the Formula One racing team Renault.

In 2010 Lusas di Grassi had proven he had what it takes then to drive full time in Formula One whereby he signed for the Virgin Formula One Team.

Lucas di Grassi moved on from Formula One in 2013 and acted as a Pirelli test driver and also hit what might be his most successful race at the Le-Mans 24 hour race where he finished on the podium on his first time at the infamous race. He had success at the FIA World Endurance Championship with Audi.

In 2014 Lucas di Grassi was chosen by the FIA to help develop the new electric car racing series which is now known as Formula E. He has since gone onto driving for the Audi Sport ABT Team in Formula E. With his previouse experience and smooth driving style, Lucas di Grassi could be one to watch out for this season.

Daniel Abt Daniel Abt

History: Daniel has a lot of motorsport ties, his family own the ABT SportsLine Group and his father is the owner and team principle of that group. Over the years Daniel has grown up and learnt a lot about the motorsport industry and gained vast amounts of knowledge from his father Hans-Jürgen Abt.

As most top drivers start out in karting the same is to be said for Daniel when he started racing them from the age of six. Daniel amazingly won the first seven races in the karting series which made him stand above many of his competitors.

Daniel soon progressed into the formula 3 Series where he made his debut as the youngest driver on the grid in 2011, during this season finished on the podium three times.

In 2012 Daniel enjoyed a season of success when he went into the GP 3 series with Lotus he secured two wins and seven podiums unfortunately for Daniel he just missed out on the title.

In 2013 the 22-year-old German debuted in the GP2 Series with ART, in this season he gained lots of experience with lots of ups and downs, but there's no doubt about it, from his family ties and his experience, Daniel is a world-class driver.

In 2014 Daniel joined his father's company Audi Sport ABT in the electric car racing series known as Formula E

We bet that Daniel will make a lot of noise at the Formula E Championship.

Nelson Piquet Nelson Piquet

History: Nelson Piquet begun his racing career at an early age in Brazil, he first started at the lower ranks of Karting but soon progressed where he won three national championships before making a step up to the single seaters.

Nelson Piquet Jr has always had racing in his blood as his father Nelson Piquet was a three time Formula One world champion.

In 2001 Nelson Piquet made his debut in the South American formula 3 series he was only in it for two seasons but by the time the second season had come round he had won the title.

Nelson Piquet moved to Europe in 2003 when he started to race in the infamous formula 3 series in Great Britain, in his first season he managed to finish third all overall however in 2004 he had won the title with six wins under his belt. Also in 2004 he made his Formula One test debut for the Williams Racing Team where he was very successful.

In 2005 he also raced in the GP2 season as well as participating in A1GP for his home country Brazil, whilst racing in the A1GP he won two races.

In 2006 in GP2 he came second to the world champion Lewis Hamilton after claiming four wins. During this year he also made his Le Mans 24-hour debut whereby he finished ninth overall.

During 2007 Nelson Piquet became the official test driver the Renault Formula One team and completed over 8000 km of testing.

For the 2008-2009 season Nelson Piquet had shown he had what it takes as a pro racing driverand he was named as a main driver as a formula One Driver for the Renault Formula One team.

In 2010 Nelson Piquet hung up his driving gloves in the Formula One series and moved to the USA where he had a number of races in NASCAR.

2014 Nelson Piquet participated in the global Rallycross championship, during this year he was approached by China racing to make a crossover to the electric car racing series known as Formula E.

Ho-Pin Tung

History: Ho-Pin Tung started his career karting in his early years in the Netherlands in 1997, by the time 1999 had come around he had won the karting Dutch cup.

Whilst in Europe he also competed in the formula Ford series. Ho-Pin Tung also raced in the Formula BMW Asia series whereby his talents certainly shined through by winning the series in his first attempt. Due to his success Ho-Pin Tung was spotted by the Williams Formula One team in 2003 and they asked him if he could start testing for them.

In 2004 Ho-Pin Tung graduated to Formula 3 in Germany up until 2006 where he had won the title and become the champion, he done this whilst also representing team China in the A1GP. Whilst representing China in the A1GP he finished on the podium in second place at the Australian race.

From 2007 Ho-Pin Tung also competed in the DP2 and he also achieved second place in the sprint race in Monaco 2008.

In 2009 Ho-Pin Tung was made the official test driver for the Renault Formula One team. Ho-Pin Tung was also made the official third driver early in 2010.

In 2011 Ho-Pin Tung made his IndyCar series debut with the famous Dragon Racing team, during this race he finished 27 at Sonoma. Ho-Pin Tung has become a regular race winner in the Porsche Carrera Cup In Asia whilst also making his debut in the Le Mans 24 hours in 2013 where he finished in 12th place overall.

In 2014 Ho-Pin Tung was approached by China Racing to become a main driver for them in the Formula E racing series .

Antonio Garcia

History: Antonio Garcia is no stranger to racing, he is a former World champion in karting and a three times class winner in the Le Mans 24-hour race. Antonia Garcia from a very young age had a very successful career in karting once he had achieve these goals in this race series he went on to also win the Spanish and European Championships. Once he has established himself as a star the future he then graduated in the single-seaters in 1998.

In 1998 through to 2000 he had many wins under his belt; however Antonio Garcia went on again to win another world championship series in the Nissan championship whilst securing four wins on his way to victory.

In 2001 Antonio Garcia made his debut in the formula 3000 whilst also making his debut in the FIA GT series. Antonio Garcia was very busy in 2001 whilst competing in the above he also made his test debut appearance for the Minardi Formula One team.

Antonia Garcia switch to the touring car Championships in 2003 he went on to join the BMW Italian and Spanish team whilst scoring four podiums and finishing eighth in the championship. In 2004 Garcia then moved to the EETTC tournament championship again with BMW. Whilst in this series Antonio Garcia managed to finish ninth in the championship standings.

In 2007 Antonia Garcia competed in the Le Mans 24-hour series whilst in the GT1 category where he claimed a class victory with the Aston Martin racing team.

In 2009 Antonia Garcia moved stateside and competed in the Daytona 24 hours for the first time andhe won this championship at the Sebring. During this season he went back to the Le Mans 24-hour race where he claimed victory. Moving forward to 2013 he had won the American Le Mans series and GT championship.

In 2014 Antonio Garcia was confirmed as a driver for the Formula E racing team known as China racing.

Nicolas Prost Nicolas Prost

History: Nicolas Prost is no stranger to motorsport, his father being the four-time Formula One World Champion Alain Prost so expectations have always been a high. Nicolas is a very keen golfer and tried to go pro however this didn't work out so he turned his goals to motorsport racing.

Nicolas started to race quite late in 2006 where he turned his attention to motor racing, in this year he joined the formula campus where he was very successful. The same year he moved over to the Spanish Formula 3 with Racing Engineering.

In 2007 Nicolas Prost carried on his career in Formula 3 with Campos Racing he took to it like a duck to water ending the season third in the standings. Also during this season he became a rookie driver in the A1GP for team France, he also received his first outing at the Le Mans 24 hours race.

Nicolas Prost enjoyed the endurance racing side of motorsport he continued to race in the LMP1 series whilst progressing to single seaters and securing a place in the formula 3000 championship.

Moving on through his career he carried on in the LMP1 series with Rebellion Racing, like his father he also entered the world of Formula One as a test driver for the Lotus Formula One team.

In 2014 the co-founder Alain Prost had a great idea to bring his son on board to the brand-new electric car series Formula E. Nicholas Prost is now featured as a main driver in Formula E for the e.dams Renault Team.

Sébastien Buemi Sébastien Buemi

History: Like many motorsport racing drivers starting off Sébastian was no different, with a quick start and a successful karting campaign in his younger years. Sébastien was only 15 when he had his first taste of Formula One as he was given the chance to drive the Arrows Formula One car.

Moving through the ranks Sébastian soon made it into the German formula BMW championship in his debut season he finished third just behind the Formula One world champion Sebastian Vettel.

In 2006 Sébastian entered the formula 3 series, during the season he was very competitive and finished an overall 12th.

A year on in 2007 Sébastien continued to make his way through the ranks and he debuted in the GP2 series for the first time. During this season he had an impressive run, and caught the eye of Toro Rosso, he then signed for them in 2009 to become the first Swiss driver to race in Formula One since 1995.

Up until 2011 Sébastian continued to race for the Toro Rosso Team, he then went over to the Red Bull Team as a test driver. During these years Sébastian also had success in the FIA world endurance championship and he also participated in the Le Mans 24-hour is race.

In 2014 Sébastien Buemi was named as a main driver in the Formula E series with e.dams Renault Team.

Karun Chandhok Karun Chandhok

History: Karun Chandhok is no stranger to motor racing, he was born into it. It's a known fact that Karun Chandhok’s family used to race from his father, grandfather and most amazingly also his grandmother.

Karun Chandhok started racing at a young age whilst moving up the ranks he competed in the Indian National Championship, he ended up winning his race and also went on to winning the championship in 2000. The following season in 2001 he move to the Formula Asia Championship yet again he showed the world a raw talents and yet again he had won the Championship.

Also during the 2001 season he moved to Europe and participated in Formula 3, he done very well in this championship and stayed in it until 2006 when he went back to Asia and raced in the Renault V6 series where he won the championship. Also during the season he was promoted to the launch step of Formula One to participate in GP2.

As a driver you what to make a great career for yourself, Karun Chandhok did this, during the rest of his career it was a multiple race winner in the GP2 series and he is still only one of two Indian racing drivers to ever compete in the Formula One Championship. He also wen on to be the main test driver for Red Bull Racing and also to compete the Formula One Team Lotus in 2010 and 2011.

Karun Chandhok has also participated in the Le Mans 24-hour race whereby he finished sixth. He has also had a steady run in the FIA GT series in 2014.

During 2014 Karun Chandhok was approached by there Mahindra Racing the only Indian electric formula E teamwishing for the Indian star to compete for, which he agreed to.

Bruno Senna Bruno Senna

History: Bruno Senna has probably got one of the biggest Motorsport family ties out there, Bruno is the nephew of the great Ayrton Senna, no pressure there then!

Since Bruno was a young lad he had been racing and competing in the Jr karting series where he picked up his own motorsport trade and a successful one at that.

However unlike his uncle Bruno didn't race competitively until 2004 where he chose the UK to start off his professional career in the Formula BMW UK championship. Whilst in the UK he competed in the formula three series in 2005 and also in this season he finished a very solid third.

Moving forward to 2007 Bruno managed to climb the ladder even more by entering the GP2 series with the mighty Arden International Group.

It wasn't going to be long before Bruno had his first taste of Formula One. In 2008 Bruno went on to test for the Formula One team Honda where he remained for two years whilst having a brief move to sports cars.

In 2011 Bruno became the official reserve driver for Lotus Renault GP team in Formula One during this season he also replaced Nick Heidfeld and even got the team to qualify seventh in his first race with them. In the following year he made yet another change by entering the FIA World Endurance Championship with the Aston Martin Team.

Jarno Trulli Jarno Trulli

History: Jarno Trulli started his racing career at a young age in Italy Karting. Jarno Trulli had a great career Karting by winning many different titles such as the European championship, the North American championship and three Italian championships.

The great Formula One driver soon graduated to the single-seaters series. Whilst competing in this series he made a big impression and the then Benetton team saw his potential and signed him up to drive in the German formula 3 series.

In 1997 Jarno Trulli had earned his right to drive in Formula One and he signed with the Minardi Team before switching to the Prost Team mid-season. During his Formula One career he went on to race for the Prost team and the Jordan Formula One team where he was very consistent and regularly scored points for both teams. He also signed with the Formula One team Renault which was Jarno Trulli’s Star moment whereby he picked up his only Formula One win in the world-famous Monte Carlo Grand Prix.

As the years moved on Jarno Trulli spent a few years with the Toyota Racing team and then he moved to his last Formula One placement at the Lotus racing team, this is where he ended his Formula One career.

In 2014 the Trulli Formula E team was well established with Jarno leading the was as a main driver.

Michela Cerruti

History: Michela Cerruti is no stranger to motorsport her father is one of the great touring car champions who is known as“Baronio”. Michela Cerruti first debuted in 2008 whilst competing in the Italian touring endurance Championship in the 2000 cc category.

After Michela Cerruti racing debut her career really took off. In 2011 she became the highest podium finishes by woman in the super stars series competition, which is a great success on her part.

In 2012 her talents had been spotted and she became the official driver for the BMW team Italy in the Z4GT3 series, waltzed in this series she claimed victory and was the first woman to ever finish first in the overall standings of this series.

In 2014 Michela Cerruti started to compete in the auto GP series during the season series she also competed in the Blank Pain endurance series, where she claimed a podium at the famous UK racetrack Silverstone.

Michela Cerruti was confirmed in 2014 as a main Formula E driver for the Trulli Renault Team.

History: Nick Heidfeld is no stranger to the racetrack, he started his career at the tender age of eight years old where he soon jumped into the karting circuit, he proved himself very quickly and soon jumped into the single seaters.

Nick Heidfeld was no stranger at competing either, he dominated the German formula Ford 1600 series whereby he claimed victory in that season. He went on to win eight races out of a possible nine. In the following season Nick Heidfeld went on to race in the German International formula Ford 1800 championship and yet again he clenched the title of this series as well.

After a very successful career in the junior racing series’s, he soon progressed up the racing ladder when he went to compete in the German formula 3 series and the International F3000 series. As Nick had always done, he went on to win both titles in both championships before he was scouted and spotted by the Prost Formula One team and went on to switch over to Formula One full time.

During his second season in Formula One Nick switched to the Sauber Formula One team where he was very competitive and respected in the Formula One series. In the seasons to comeNick Heidfeld was a regular podium finisher, during his career he scored a total of 259 points and claimed 13 podiums whilst racing for the Williams Formula One team, BMW and later the Renault Formula One team.

Once Nick Hidfeld had hung up his gloves in the Formula One series, he then went into the World Endurance Championship and the American Le Mans Series where he was very successful.

In 2014 Nick was offered an amazing opportunity to drive for the big American electric car manufacturer Venturi where he is officially confirmed as a main driver in the Formula E series.

Stéphane Sarrazin Stéphane Sarrazin

History: Stéphane Sarrazin is no stranger to motorsport, he use to compete in karting from a young age where he won two Karting Championship titles and he then soon went on to race in single seaters whilst becoming the very first French Formula Renault Champion in 1994. Stéphane Sarrazin moved up the ranks and competed in the French formula 3 racing series where he claimed victory for the national title before graduating.

In 1999 Stéphane Sarrazin went on to compete in his first Formula One race at the Brazilian Grand Prix. He raced for the Minardi Formula One team stepping in the driver’s seat for an injured Luca Badoer, unfortunately he had to retire midway through the Brazilian Grand Prix.

Moving forward through his career Stéphane Sarrazin went on to test for the Toyota Formula One team which really helped the team progress in the championship.

When his Formula One career was over Stéphane Sarrazin went on to racing the WRC rally Championships with Subaru Racing, he had very successful debut year whereby he finished in the top 10 at every racing event.

After a good WRC rally championship he then moved into endurance racing, where he joined the LMP1 class for the Le Mans 24 hour whilst racing for the Peugeot Racing team. Whilst racing for Peugeot he gained two Podium finishes before he took a move to race for Toyota in the World Endurance Championship.

In 2014 Stéphane Sarrazin had the opportunity to move into the latest Motor racing sport which is Formula E, he grabbed it with both hands and was confirmed as a driver for the Venturi Formula ETeam where he is today.

Jaime Alguersuari Jamie Alguersuari

History: Jamie Alguersuari is no stranger to the world of motorsport. Jamie began his career at the age of eight in Spain whilst karting. Throughout Jamie's career he has broken many records, one of which is that he became the youngest driver ever to make a Formula One race appearance, he done this for the Toro Rosso Formula One team when he entered the Hungarian Grand Prix.

After Jamie Alguersuari had a successful career in karting and the junior formula and formula Renault series, Jamie crossed the North Sea and moved to the United Kingdom to compete in the British formula 3 series. Whilst Jamie competed in three championships in 2008, he also broke another record by becoming the youngest ever driver to win the championship, this was also achieved in his debut year whilst winning five races along way.

As Jamie had such a great championship in the Formula 3 Series in Britain and he caught the eyes of the Red Bull Formula One Racing Team, so they signed him to become a test driver.

In 2009 whilst testing for the Red Bull Formula One team he also raced in the Renault 3.5 series where he was a serious contender, although having a good season he was called up by the Toro Rosso team and replaced Sebastian Bourdais to race for his time in Formula One. This is where he broke the record for being the youngest ever driver to race in Formula One.

In 2010 to 2011 Jamie carried on racing for the Toro Rosso Formula One team and he had some good strong finishes two of which were in the top 10. After his career at the Toro Rosso team he became a test driver for tyre manufacturers Pirelli for the Formula One series.

In 2014 Jamie was approached by the mega brand known as the Virgin Group, He was asked to become a driver for their new Formula E Team.

Sam Bird Sam Bird

Place Of Birth:Roehampton, England

History: Sam Bird made quite a late start on the motorsport circuit; he first appeared in 2002 racing competitively in karting across Europe. After many successful competitive races Sam Bird won a scholarship to race in the inaugural season of the BMW formula series.

Whilst racing in the BMW formula series for Carlin Motorsport he went on to claim three victories and finished as one of the top rookie drivers in the championship. In his second season in the formula BMW series he had really got to grips with the competitive motorsport and finished runner-up in the championship.

During Sam's time in the formula BMW series he was shortlisted for the McLaren AUTOSPORT BRDC Young driver of the year award, unfortunately he did not win it, but it did show us what Sam’s skills are behind the wheel.

During his climb up the motorsport ladder he progressed to the formula Renault series and then onto the British formula Three championship. Whilst Sam was racing in these championships he began testing for the Williams Formula One team, also during this time he tested for the Mercedes Formula One team in Abu Dhabi.

As time went on Sam Bird competed in GP2 where he marginally missed out on the championship, but on his way to try and claim the top prize he claimed five strong wins.

In 2014 Sam was approached by Virgin Racing to race for their new team in the new electric car formula E series.
